Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities, adapt general education curricula, and assist students in regular class assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Pursue goals related to student achievement, culture, and state benchmarks.
• Apply research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions.
