Job summary

Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEPs in a full-time role.

You will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, write IEP goals, provide behavior support, and engage families to promote academic and social-emotional growth. Compensation ranges from $43,000 to $50,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with teachers and interpret abilities/disabilities.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Use research-based planning and culturally responsive teaching.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Communicate with families about student growth.
• Support non-instructional activities and field trips.
