Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks a qualified Intervention Specialist at Euclid Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio to support students with IEP goals and behavioral objectives. You will collaborate with teachers to implement interventions, conduct assessments, and write IEPs, while engaging families in student progress.

The role emphasizes social-emotional development, inclusive teaching practices, and culturally responsive instruction within a charter school setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs, and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities, adjust instruction and support student with regular classwork.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Engage families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
