Job summary

Cleveland Preparatory Academy, part of ACCEL Schools, seeks an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEP goals in a K-8 setting. You will collaborate with teachers to tailor instruction, conduct assessments, and implement behavior plans in a nurturing, project-based environment.

Ideal candidates have a current state license, experience with inclusion or co-teaching, strong communication, and the ability to engage families. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state license.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full room inclusion or Co-Teaching model.
• Comfort with a growth-focused coaching environment based on observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students, focusing on IEPs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and adapt general curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and create goals and objectives.
• Communicate with families about student progress and growth.
• Assist in planning non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
