Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or co-teaching in a resource room.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observation and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities.
• Modify general education curriculum as needed and assist with regular assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives.
• Work to meet student achievement and culture goals.
• Apply research-based practices in planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor for a set of students and communicate with families.
• Plan non-instructional activities like social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
