Job summary

Broadway Academy @ Willow, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEP goals in a high-need setting in Cleveland, OH. You will work with teachers to implement intervention strategies, conduct assessments, and help advance student achievement and social-emotional growth.

The role emphasizes inclusive education, collaboration with families, and delivering instruction using evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and plan intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Work to achieve student achievement and culture goals per state standards.
• Apply research-based instructional practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Assist in planning non-instructional activities and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
