ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Mount Auburn Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will support students with IEP goals and collaborate with teachers to implement intervention strategies and behavior plans.

The role emphasizes developing social-emotional learning, inclusive practices, and regular communication with families. Candidates should meet state standards, possess strong organizational and teaching skills, and be comfortable in a growth-focused coaching

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching via observations, debriefs and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities, assisting in intervention strategies, and supporting regular class assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and school culture.
• Utilize research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching in daily lessons and interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Assist in planning non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
