Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Mount Auburn Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on supporting students with IEPS in inclusive settings, conducting assessments, and implementing behavior plans to raise achievement and social-emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Current state license is required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion/co-teaching models.
• Growth-oriented coaching with frequent observations and planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities, and assist in intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction
• Conduct functional behavior assessments
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives
• Meet goals related to student achievement and school culture
• Use research-based best practices in planning and instruction
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching in daily lessons
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities such as social events
• Perform other duties as assigned
