Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring an Intervention Specialist for Case Preparatory Academy in Akron, Ohio. You will support students with IEPs, collaborate with teachers, and implement interventions to boost academic and social-emotional growth.

The role emphasizes inclusive practices, diagnostic and behavioral assessments, family communication, and participation in IEP planning and non-instructional activities. Strong Microsoft Office skills and bilingual capacity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Strong organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in multicultural environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and modify curriculum as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Strive to meet student achievement and school culture goals.
• Apply research-based planning and instruction practices.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching daily.
