Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Mount Auburn Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEPs, implement inclusive teaching strategies, and foster academic and social-emotional growth. You will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, and lead IEP planning to drive student achievement in a results-driven, culturally responsive environment.

The role requires knowledge of state standards, experience in inclusion/co-teaching, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion/Co-Teaching.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and action planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks (FBI/BCI).
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students, focusing on IEPs.
• Cooperate with classroom teachers; interpret abilities and disabilities; support interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments; write/implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Work toward goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Use research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students; communicate with families.
