Job summary

Responsibilities

• Create customer-specific invoices within internal systems; monitor and make changes for special and varied billing arrangements.
• Communicate with customers and Sales Team to assist and resolve issues.
• Meet daily deadlines while ensuring accuracy and customer experience.
• Provide absence coverage for other billers.
• Coordinate all emails sent to the group box.
• Train new hires and guide other billers in the department.
• Communicate issues with manager and sales staff.
• Handle special setups for customers approved by pricing, sales and IT.
• Run customer-specific reports and send special invoices regularly.
• Supervise the Billing Associates and workload.

Avfuel Corporation provides the global aviation industry fuel and services through its network of branded dealers and international locations.

Avfuel is seeking a Billing Supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create customer specific invoices within internal systems; monitor and make changes for special and varied billing arrangements
• Independently and timely communicate with customers and Sales Team to effectively assist and resolve issues
• Meet strict daily deadlines while insuring accuracy and excellent customer experience
• Provide absence coverage in the event another biller is out
• Coordinate all emails that are sent to the group email box
• Train new hires and be available to guide and train other billers in the department
• Communicate issues and concerns with manager and sales staff
• Other special projects and duties as assigned
• Always have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
• Willing to step up wherever needed to ensure daily departmental procedures are completed
• Reconcile tax listing reports and ensure all contract fuel sales have processed at correct rates. Must communicate and work with suppliers, sales and AP to promptly work through any discrepancies.
• Handle all special setups for customers that need to be approved by pricing, sales and IT
• Run customer specific reports and send special invoices regularly
• This is a Monday thru Friday position
• Supervise the Billing Associates and workload

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required
• Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years Accounting/billing/bookkeeping or comparable experience a plus
• 2 + years customer service experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
