Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Internal Registry in the Neonatal ICU. The position is a Day Shift in Olympia Fields, IL, with an anticipated 12-week assignment and a flat rate compensation of $60 per hour.

Licensure and certifications must be current at hire and maintained throughout the assignment. The RN will provide safe, evidence-based care for neonates, following the nursing process, and coordinate with families and the NICU team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Educate patients and families and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment and maintain patient safety.
• Provide direct NICU patient care from post-delivery stabilization through discharge within scope of practice.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Location: Olympia Fields, IL

Department:Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Status: Temporary Internal Registry

Shift: Day Shift

Compensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge. NICU- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
