Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift in Chicago, IL. The assignment lasts approximately 12 weeks with potential extension based on staffing needs.

The RN will deliver direct ICU patient care, monitor hemodynamics, and communicate with physicians about changes in condition, while ensuring patient privacy and safety throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license is required.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within ICU scope and guide patient/family education.
• Direct and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician, including hemodynamic data and test results.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Location: Chicago, ILDepartment: Intensive Care UnitStatus: Temporary Internal Registry (Full-Time, .9)Shift: Night ShiftCompensation: $60.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• 7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Saint Mary of Nazareth offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
