Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and current.
• ACLS certification within 90 days and current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and current.
• Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days and current.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
• STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in the Birthplace.
• Educate and guide patient and family; coordinate with nursing staff.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and ensure newborn/mother safety.

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Assignment Details:

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks; however, staffing needs will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
