Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an LPN for our Internal Medicine department in Winston East. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with Monday–Friday, 0800–1700 shifts. The LPN provides patient care, lab procedures, and assists physicians in procedures, while maintaining patient education and care coordination.

Requires PN program completion, valid LPN license, and BLS within 45 days. Compensation ranges from $24.10 to $36.15 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams; record vital signs and health data.
• Perform lab procedures and specimen collection using sterile technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries as directed.
• Administer medications under orders, including IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education on tasks, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate tests, refills, and referrals with the care team.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and clinical equipment.
