Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a Rocky River Internal Medicine team. This full-time role involves preparing patients, administering medications, and assisting with procedures.

You will collaborate with clinicians, manage patient education, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. 40 hours per week, 4 days of 10-hour shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of hire.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physician with procedures and surgeries.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including IV therapy within limits.
• Provides patient education and coordinates follow-up and referrals.
• Communicates with physicians and other health care team members; documents patient information.
• Performs advanced clinical tasks under supervision.
• Organizes exam rooms, labs, and work areas; maintains equipment.
• Maintains clinic equipment; sterilizes instruments as needed.
• Participates in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement.
