Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license; required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification; to be obtained within 45 days unless exempt.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams; obtain vital signs and document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures (e.g., strep test, wound culture) using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries (e.g., pelvic exams, testing).
• Administer medications under orders; initiate/maintain/adjust IV therapy as allowed.
• Educate patients and coordinate tests, prescriptions, and referrals as directed.
• Communicate with health care team; document patient status accurately.
