Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Internal Medicine: Winston East team. The role supports patient exams, lab procedures, IV therapy, and medication administration under physician orders.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced clinic environment. The position is full-time (40 hours), with a Monday–Friday schedule from 08:00 to 17:00.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure/registration/ certification as required by the state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained within 45 days unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, document vital signs and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer medications under orders, including immunizations and insulin.
• Initiate and manage IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education and coordinate referrals and tests.
