H.F. Lenz Company is seeking Mechanical/HVAC Engineering Interns for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Johnstown, PA.

Interns will work with multi-disciplinary teams to gain hands-on experience in mechanical system design, Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM360, while supporting real projects for top clients. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program, familiar with 2D/3D modeling and Microsoft Office, and eager to learn building systems design and

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with basic computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Academic coursework relevant to building systems (HVAC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks related to mechanical system design.
• Learn basic principles of mechanical system design, focused in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
• Become an expert with Autodesk Revit.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.
• Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.
• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.

Requirements/Responsibilities
