Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc. is seeking an on-site Customer Service Associate to assist customers with inland transportation of cargo by rail or truck.

You will monitor data in MSC IT systems, coordinate with intermodal partners, US customs, and MSC departments globally to ensure accurate updates. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong analytical and English language skills, and proven problem solving and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required or preferred.
• Analytical: advanced level.
• English: expert.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with inland transportation of their cargo by rail and/or truck.
• Monitors information using MSC proprietary IT systems, MSExcel and Power BI.
• Liaises with intermodal customers, US customs and MSC departments globally as needed.
• Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors.
• Analyzes data and implements strategies to support process efficiencies.
• Provides timely responses to inquiries regarding transportation updates.
