This is an on-site role requiring collaboration with terminal staff, customers, and leased drivers. The candidate will manage service information, schedules, and issue resolution while maintaining professional communication and accuracy in data entry.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of intermodal customer service preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent local geographical knowledge
• Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job
• Computer Literate - (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) required. Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provides information to customers on service capabilities and capacity availability
• Enters order information directly into the computer system (Intermodal) accurately and on a timely basis (immediately as received)
• Resolve service issues
• Schedule appointment times as required, meeting designated delivery windows set by the customer
• Communicates with customers (shippers, consignees, and third parties as required) to provide information on shipment status
• Perform other duties as requested

W.W. Rowland Trucking Company, LLC has an immediate opening for an Intermodal Trucking Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Detroit, Michigan location. The position communicates with customers on service capabilities, work order input, coordination with dispatch, and provides information on shipment status for the terminal operation. This an on-site position as it requires collaboration with terminal team members, customers, and leased drivers.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides information to customers on service capabilities and capacity availability
• Enters order information directly into the computer system (Intermodal) accurately and on a timely basis (immediately as received)
• Resolve service issues
• Schedule appointment times as required, meeting designated delivery windows set by the customer
• Communicates with customers (shippers, consignees, and third parties as required) to provide information on shipment status to communicate anticipated service issues, new pick-up and delivery times, and alternative solutions where possible
• Perform other duties as requested

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication, and computer skills
