Job summary

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Billing Clerk in Mount Prospect, IL. You will review moves, enter billing data, verify rates and charges, and ensure invoices are accurate and sent on time. The role requires detail orientation, comfort with numbers, and the ability to learn our billing processes.

Intermodal billing knowledge is a plus, with training provided. Starting pay is $25 per hour, weekly pay, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous billing, data entry, accounting, transportation, logistics, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with numbers and reviewing detailed information.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to learn new software and company-specific systems.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit customer invoices for completed drayage and intermodal moves.
• Review completed loads to ensure all billable services and revenue opportunities are captured.
• Verify customer rates and applicable accessorial charges.
• Review and apply charges such as detention, demurrage, storage, chassis, fuel surcharges, and other applicable fees.
• Submit accurate and timely customer invoices.
• Enter billing and operational information accurately into company systems.
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
