Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a part-time Interlibrary Loan Assistant to support patrons and libraries with materials requests. The role involves handling ILL requests, tracking items, and coordinating with lending libraries to fulfill patron needs.

Responsibilities include assisting users, maintaining records in library systems, receiving and returning materials, and locating items from external sources. Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a library position is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• PATRON ASSISTANCE: Help patrons use ILL services via internet, email, phone, or fax and explain check out periods and policies.
• RECORD MAINTENANCE & MATERIAL PREPARATION: Maintain records in Excel, OCLC, SWIFT, ILLiad, Sierra; mark items checked in and assign due dates.
• RECEIVING MATERIALS: Check in items from other libraries and route materials to branches.
• RETURNING MATERIALS: Return items to lending libraries using SWIFT/ILLiad; note in Sierra and place in courier bins.
• LOCATING MATERIALS: Search ILL databases and contact libraries to locate requested titles.
• OTHER DUTIES: Assist supervisor with department projects as needed.
