Job description

I’m hiring for an Interim Head of ServiceNow to take ownership of a major ServiceNow platform across a US business.

This is a senior interim role, suited to someone who can step in quickly, stabilise the platform, lead stakeholders, improve governance, and drive delivery across the ServiceNow roadmap.

Role overview

You’ll be responsible for leading the ServiceNow function across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, vendors, and wider technology teams.

The focus will be on bringing structure, control, and direction to the platform, while ensuring ServiceNow supports wider business and technology transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the ServiceNow platform roadmap, priorities, and delivery plan
• Lead platform governance, standards, architecture principles, and best practice
• Review current ServiceNow setup and identify quick wins, risks, and improvement areas
• Drive delivery across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, GRC, or related modules
• Act as the senior ServiceNow point of contact for business and technology leadership
• Manage internal teams, external partners, and implementation vendors
• Improve stakeholder engagement, reporting, governance, and delivery control
• Support upgrades, releases, enhancements, and new module rollouts
• Reduce unnecessary customization and drive better use of out-of-the-box functionality
• Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned to business goals

Experience required

• Strong senior ServiceNow leadership experience
• Background as a Head of ServiceNow, ServiceNow Platform Owner, ServiceNow Director, Practice Lead, Programme Lead, or Senior Product Owner
• Proven experience stepping into complex ServiceNow environments and bringing structure
• Strong knowledge across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, or GRC
• Experience managing roadmaps, governance, vendors, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders
• Ability to operate at both strategic and delivery level
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• ServiceNow certifications are highly desirable
