Job summary

New Leaf Energy is seeking an Interconnection Project Manager (DG) to coordinate interconnection efforts across Engineering, Project Finance, Accounting, and Operations. The role requires building stakeholder relationships and understanding utility feedback within a regional interconnection context.

The position offers a hybrid work environment with in-office days two out of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday across Lowell, MA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA, or Troy, NY.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with preference for energy and utility experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Policy, Finance, Business, Environmental Science, PM preferred).
• Strong PM, reporting, and technical skills (Salesforce and Smartsheet/Microsoft Project).
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to build, experiment, and iterate when path forward is undefined.
• Passion for renewable energy, climate action, and accelerating clean energy transformation.

Responsibilities

• Represent New Leaf as the primary point of contact for all utility communications.
• Lead utility interactions and meetings, including conflict resolutions.
• Lead interconnection due diligence and research for new market entry (process implementation, problem solving, relationship building).
• Create and maintain utility/region-specific project management infrastructure, trackers, reports, and tools.
• Own the interconnection lifecycle and communicate risks to cross-functional teams.
• Monitor utility performance to identify risks to the critical path and negotiate positive outcomes.
