New Leaf Energy in Chicago is seeking an Interconnection Project Manager (DG) to coordinate interconnection activities across Engineering, Finance, Accounting and Operations. You will interpret utility feedback and manage stakeholder relationships in regional markets.

The role demands strong project management, communication, and technical mindset. Hybrid work is available; base salary range and bonus potential reflect market norms for a Chicago position.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with energy and utility experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Policy, Finance, Business, Environmental Science preferred.
• Strong PM, reporting, and technical skills; Salesforce and Smartsheet/MS Project preferred.
• Willingness to grow with a fast-paced, dynamic company and adapt to ambiguity.
• Passion for renewable energy and climate acceleration.

Responsibilities

• Represent New Leaf as the primary contact for all utility communications.
• Lead utility interactions, meetings, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct interconnection due diligence and market entry research.
• Develop and maintain interconnection PM infrastructure, trackers, and reports.
• Own the interconnection lifecycle and communicate risks to teams.
• Monitor utility performance and escalate issues to protect the critical path.
• Serve as SME for interconnection processes and advise on strategy.
• Coordinate signatures, payments, and agreements across teams.
