Job summary

MISO in Carmel, IN (with Eagan, MN and Little Rock, AR options) seeks an Engineer II - Generation Interconnection to support the interconnection process, helping new energy resources connect to the grid safely and reliably.

You will conduct power system studies, evaluate proposed resources and HVDC facilities, and collaborate with interconnection customers, transmission owners, and internal teams to move projects forward. A base salary is provided with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in power system planning or operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead critical power system studies independently and manage complex analyses.
• Support generation interconnection by conducting affected system studies and evaluating impacts.
• Collaborate with Transmission Owners to provide technical recommendations and influence project decisions.
• Represent MISO in internal/external committees, task forces, and working groups.
• Apply engineering judgment to develop timely, compliant solutions while adhering to standards and regulations.
