Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) seeks an Engineer II – Generation Interconnection to support the interconnection of new generation resources and HVDC facilities. You will perform studies, assess proposed resources, and work with customers, transmission owners, and internal teams to address technical challenges and move projects forward.

The role emphasizes taking ownership, driving process improvements, and contributing to grid reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (per listed requirements).
• At least two years' experience in power system planning/operations or related field.
• Experience with power system analysis tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead power system studies for generation interconnection projects.
• Evaluate proposed generation resources and HVDC facilities.
• Collaborate with interconnection customers, transmission owners and internal teams.
• Represent MISO in committees and working groups; apply engineering judgment to solutions.
