Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator Inc. in Carmel, IN (with alternative sites in Eagan, MN or Little Rock, AR) seeks an Engineer III – Generator Interconnection to evaluate new and changing generation across the MISO footprint.

The role involves power system studies to determine reliable interconnection to the transmission system and serving as a technical resource for interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, and neighboring RTOs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of job-related experience.
• Specific power system planning or operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system impact studies evaluating reliability impacts of interconnection to the transmission system.
• Review projects and provide technical recommendations based on power system analysis and reliability requirements.
• Coordinate studies and communicate results to interconnection customers, Transmission Owners, neighboring RTOs, and internal teams.
