Job summary

Amentum is seeking an instructional designer to create and revise engaging eLearning modules. You will work with SMEs and multimedia designers to ensure technical accuracy, accessibility, and effective assessment within government-approved templates.

The role emphasizes hands-on development of courseware and formulating knowledge checks aligned to learning objectives. Requirements include a background in instructional systems design and experience with Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, and SCORM.

Qualifications

• Experience applying adult learning principles and ADDIE to develop or revise course content.
• Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia) and government-approved equivalents.
• Experience with highly technical or complex subject matter is preferred.
• Experience drafting formative knowledge checks aligned to learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide input for learning objects for interactive e-learning solutions (HTML5, Captivate, Edge).
• Complete data entry and technical writing activities.
• Develop and maintain design documents and storyboards using government templates and style guides.
• Draft formative knowledge checks and practice activities aligned to objectives.
• Package and validate courseware artifacts in required formats (e.g., SCORM) and coordinate publishing inputs with LMS Administration.
