Job summary

Blue Kite Wellness seeks an Intensive Home-Based Support (IHBS) staff member to assist children, youth, and families in the Illinois Pathways to Success program. The IHBS staff provides individualized, short-term behavioral health support in clients’ homes and communities under clinical direction, helping youth and families implement therapeutic interventions and practice new skills.

Field-based hybrid role with travel across Kewanee, IL and surrounding areas; telehealth may be used.

Qualifications

• Meets Illinois qualifications for Mental Health Professional.
• At least two years of experience with children and families.
• Ability to engage youth and caregivers and build supportive relationships.
• Ability to implement interventions under clinical direction.
• Observes behavior and communicates concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide IHBS services to eligible children, youth and families.
• Carry out interventions under clinical direction.
• Help youth practice coping, emotional-regulation, and communication skills.
• Support parents in implementing strategies to strengthen family functioning.
• Document progress and participate in supervision and training.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Schedule travel to client homes and community locations.
