Blue Kite Wellness is seeking an Intensive Home-Based Support (IHBS) staff member to assist children, youth, and families as part of the Illinois Pathways to Success program. You’ll work in homes and community settings, applying therapeutic interventions under clinical direction to help families develop coping skills and improve functioning.

You will collaborate with IHBC clinicians, care coordinators, and other providers, delivering strengths-based, family-centered services and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Meets current Illinois qualifications for a Mental Health Professional.
• At least two years of experience working with children and families.
• Ability to engage youth and caregivers and build respectful, supportive relationships.
• Ability to implement interventions under clinical direction and reinforce skills.
• Ability to observe behavior and communicate concerns to the clinical team.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow safety plans.
• Willingness to complete Pathways Intensive Home-Based training and IM+CANS certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide Intensive Home-Based Support services to eligible children, youth, and families.
• Carry out support interventions under the clinical direction of IHBC or supervisor.
• Help youth practice coping, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and behavioral skills.
• Support parents and caregivers in implementing strategies to strengthen family functioning.
• Apply strengths-based, solution-focused approaches and Managing and Adapting Practice tools.
• Observe youth and family interactions to inform assessments and planning.
• Participate as an active Child and Family Team member and provide progress updates.
• Support Crisis Prevention and Safety Plans and communicate safety concerns to the clinical team.
• Complete timely documentation and participate in supervision, coaching, and meetings.
