Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to prepare and manage complex BIM models across architecture, structures, transportation, and MEP. You will coordinate deliverables, run clash detection, and ensure compliance with standards.

You will mentor staff, participate in client interfacing, and lead model coordination across geographies on transit and multimodal projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM coordination for transit or multimodal projects.
• Experience applying agency and DOT design standards in BIM/CADD workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk and Bentley toolchains used for model coordination.
• Ability to coordinate models across architecture, structures, roads and MEP.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic to highly complex intelligent models and drawings translating design levels (LOD).
• Coordinate and integrate models across disciplines into federated, clash-checked deliverables.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and lead cross-discipline resolutions.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on deliverable requirements.
