Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to prepare complex models across transit and multimodal projects. You’ll integrate design across architecture, vertical and transportation structures, and MEP into a federated, clash-checked model throughout the project lifecycle.

Role requires coordinating across disciplines, enforcing BIM standards, and mentoring production staff. Travel may be required; based in US offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection using Navisworks; lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentors and trains production staff across offices to build institutional capability.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoff standards.
• Performs basic engineering support tasks and prepares design drawings and layouts.
