Job summary

FreedomCare in Massachusetts seeks an Intake Specialist I to act as the face of the organization in patient and caregiver interactions. This hybrid role involves 3 days in Charlestown office and 2 days remote, handling Service Records and caregiver enrollment with a focus on timely authorization and start of care.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in sales, outreach, or related roles, with strong service mindset and ability to navigate healthcare programs and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Empathy, patience, and professional communication to support patients and caregivers.
• Ability to follow scripts, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills for case management and enrollment tracking.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and caregivers to guide enrollment and service record completion.
• Verify eligibility and document program requirements across Medicaid and insurance status.
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and coordinate with health plans and internal teams.
• Schedule visits, align with state requirements, and track enrollment progress.
• Communicate with health plans, case managers, and departments to resolve delays.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and high-quality customer service.
