Job summary

FreedomCare is seeking a dedicated Intake Specialist to support patients and caregivers remotely across the United States. You will educate and assist them through the application and enrollment process, working closely with caregivers, patients, and internal teams to ensure timely eligibility and onboarding.

The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume call environments, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume inbound and outbound call environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong empathy and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients and caregivers through the application and enrollment process to onboard them within 60 days.
• Submit required documents with Nevada Medicaid, patient insurance and caregivers to expedite authorization.
• Collaborate with medical providers to ensure all documentation is compliant.
• Deliver high-level customer service with one-call resolution.
• Meet monthly performance metrics for starts of care and call handling.
• Be the initial contact for calls from prospective clients, caregivers or enrollees.
• Manage a high open caseload until enrollment is complete.
• Provide exceptional service and positive experience for patients and caregivers.
• Coordinate with health plans regarding patient benefits and authorizations.
• Navigate multiple systems and portals to determine eligibility and obtain authorization.
