East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) in East Providence is seeking an Intake Coordinator to serve as the first contact for patients, welcome visitors, and support clinical teams. You will manage intake, screenings, and documentation while helping patients navigate care and resources.

You will document outcomes in the EHR, coordinate referrals, and assist with follow-up tasks, ensuring quality, confidential service aligned with HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare, medical office or customer service.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Understanding of medical terminology and privacy requirements.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors; support telehealth check-ins.
• Manage patient check-in/out; collect co-pays.
• Verify paperwork; maintain accurate demographic and appointment data.
• Schedule appointments and support seamless patient experience.
• Coordinate referrals and connect to community resources.
