Job summary

Care New England is seeking an Intake Coordinator to collaborate with the Patient Assessment Services team for smooth admissions. You will greet patients and families, collect intake information, and support safe, compassionate care throughout the admission process.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, safety, and teamwork within Butler Hospital's PAS environment, with a part-time schedule (20/40 days, every other weekend).

Qualifications

• Education and experience in mental health/substance abuse are preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to de-escalate and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families and explains the assessment process.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during intake and admission procedures.
• Records intake information and maintains daily logs.
• Works with PAS clinicians to facilitate timely admissions and transitions.
• Participates in ongoing education and adheres to hospital policies.
