Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical intake or healthcare administrative role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Accurate data entry and proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist new patients and families throughout the intake and registration process.
• Coordinate admissions and ensure information and documentation is completed accurately.
• Enter and maintain patient information in the EMR system.
• Answer calls and provide professional assistance to patients, families, referral sources, and insurance representatives.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with required authorizations.
• Schedule patient appointments and provide follow-up as needed.
• Serve as a key communication link between patients, families, referral sources, and the clinical team.
• Maintain confidential patient records per HIPAA requirements.
• Provide administrative support to department supervisors.
• Identify and resolve intake or scheduling issues to keep processes moving.
• Help with other administrative duties and special projects as needed.
