Job summary

KVC Health Systems in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Intake Coordinator for evenings to help locate and facilitate placements for children, track data, and manage required paperwork.

The full-time hybrid position runs Monday–Friday, 4 pm–12 am with two in-office days per week. Requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED, plus basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• One to two years experience working with children and families.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track non-contract referrals
• Answer phone calls and questions
• Enter new placement changes in required databases
• Reconcile discrepancies with MIS, DCF and Accounting
• Pre-screen all requests for residential and hospital placements
• Help coordinate after-hours transportation
• Request and ensure receipt of all required paperwork necessary for child placement
• Monitor database to ensure information is correct
• Coordinate crisis intervention and placement disruptions

The Intake Coordinator is responsible for locating and facilitating placements for children, tracking information and completing necessary data.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4 pm-12 am. Hybrid work schedule, 2 days in office per week required.

Education required: Highschool diploma or GED required.

Experience required:One to two years experience working with children and families.

Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook.

Must be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
