Job summary

KVC Health Systems in Columbia, MO is hiring a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for evenings or overnights. You will support clients’ physical and emotional needs, monitor medications, and help maintain a healthy group living environment. Paid training and benefits are included.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class E license, and strong customer service and communication skills. 21+ years old; sign-on bonus of $1,000 available.

Shifts Available:Evening (2:00PM-10:30PM) OR Overnight (10:00PM-8:30AM)

Job Summary:

As a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

Responsibilities:

Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:

• Providing meals and snacks
• Assisting with personal care
• Monitoring medication
• Intervening in crisis situations

Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including:

• Creating a positive and supportive environment
• Managing conflictEnforcing house rules
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including:Attending treatment team meetings
• Providing input on treatment plansImplementing treatment plans
