Job summary

KVC Health Systems in Topeka, KS is seeking a Receptionist to maintain a welcoming front desk and lobby area for staff and visitors. You will handle phone systems, sign in visitors, and provide general clerical support.

Responsibilities include managing mail, organizing conference rooms, coordinating vendor services, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Excellent customer service and basic computer skills are required; benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Intermediate computer skills including typing, Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
  • Previous experience in children and family services preferred.

  • Office Operations: Open/close procedures, schedule conference rooms, coordinate vendor services for office equipment maintenance.
  • Reception & Communication: Greet visitors, sign in, manage multi-line phone systems and provide clerical support including faxing.
  • Mail & Documentation: Manage incoming/outgoing mail, maintain postage machine, distribute legal documents to staff.
  • Facility Care: Maintain a professional lobby/front desk, sanitize surfaces and coordinate with landlord for exterior safety.
  • Administrative Support: Assist lead Administrative Assistant with tasks and operational duties.

Join our team as a Receptionist!

The Receptionist ensures a welcoming and clean environment for staff and visitors by maintaining the front desk and lobby area of the office.

Education and experience requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Requires Intermediate computerskills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email
  • Previous experience in children and family services preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.
What you will do:
  • Office Operations: Manage daily opening/closing procedures, schedule conference rooms, and coordinate vendor services for office equipment maintenance.
  • Reception & Communication: Greet and sign in visitors, manage multi-line phone systems, and provide general clerical support including faxing as needed.
  • Mail & Documentation: Oversee incoming/outgoing mail processing, maintain the postage machine, and ensure the timely distribution of legal documents to staff.
  • Facility Care: Maintain a professional lobby and front desk environment, including regular sanitization of surfaces and toys and coordinating with the landlord for exterior safety.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the lead Administrative Assistant with specialized tasks and additional operational duties as requested.
