Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Intake Coordinator to respond to intake inquiries, schedule initial appointments, and perform initial screenings within the behavioral health service line.

The role requires a high school diploma plus a bachelor’s or master’s in counseling or social services, experience with EHR, and strong communications; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Saturdays are required; comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• EHR experience is required.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Background check clearance is required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming calls from potential clients seeking services.
• Refer clients to care coordination for evaluation and linkage to resources.
• Verify benefits and schedule initial intake appointments.
• Maintain knowledge of LSSI programs and resources.
• Utilize the EHR for clinical documentation and related tasks.
