Job summary

The Caring Place at Miami Rescue Mission is seeking an Intake Assessment Coordinator to oversee the intake and orientation of new residents. You will screen clients, perform intake assessments, and build positive community relations while ensuring unit and county compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, coordinating with case managers, and supporting aftercare and program operations to enroll residents based on space availability.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent on-the-job training in Social Work or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in sociology/psychology/social work preferred.
• CAP training is a plus.
• Knowledge of alcoholism, chemical dependency and homelessness.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies and make appropriate referrals.

Responsibilities

• Screen and orient new residents to the program and ensure intake is completed accurately.
• Maintain accurate bed and client inventory and compile weekly reports.
• Coordinate with case managers and supervisor to assign residents to appropriate resources.
• Assist with health insurance applications and coordinate with mental health services.
