Job summary

The Caring Place – Miami Rescue Mission is seeking a Case Management Supervisor to oversee case management services, crisis intervention and referrals for residents and staff. You will supervise Case Managers, maintain documentation, and coordinate with the Regeneration Program staff while modeling biblical principles in service delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in homeless/ministry work; a bachelor’s in social sciences or CAP certification and addictions

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of experience in a homeless or similar ministry; Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, CAP Certification, and addictions/recovery training are preferred
• Must have individual or group biblical teaching experience
• Must have a valid State of Florida driver’s license
• Must have the ability to make practical application of scriptural principles in relation to assisting residents overcome addictions
• Must have knowledge of homeless men and their needs: addiction etiology, recovery principles, relapse prevention, human growth and development; and biblically based counseling techniques
• Must be able to lead residents by personal Christian testimony
• Must be able to multi-task and make sound judgments in a fair and compassionate manner.
• Must have good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse population and all levels of residents, employees, volunteers and guests
• Must be computer literate have experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow and supervise Case Managers
• Lead training and conduct staff performance evaluations
• Oversee client progress notes and documentation
• Coordinate with Regeneration Program case management staff
• Engage in community networking and partnerships
• Maintain Rommel database accurately and in a timely manner for reports
• Treat residents with respect, and show love and compassion in all interactions
• Use biblical principles to enhance positive life changes in residents
• Foster a cohesive team environment and handle staff grievances professionally
• Maintain a professional image when dealing with the public
• Solicit partnerships with community resources to benefit residents
• Lead or participate in devotions, prayers, or ministry activities
