The Farley Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an Admissions / Intake Coordinator to support the front desk, handle phone triage, and manage pre-registration and insurance verification. The role operates 12:00 pm–8:30 pm with rotating on-call evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include coordinating with providers, documenting activities in the CRM, and ensuring timely admissions while maintaining a first-impressions environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• One or more years' experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Preferably in mental health or substance use disorder field.
• Experience in client assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations.

Aufgaben

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews client, family members and/or collateral sources to assure intake criteria are met.
• Reviews prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
• Generates, guides, and leads discussions with referral sources for client support and business development.
• Assesses family needs for mediation, sober escort and intervention and determines resources to contact.
• Decides which Interventionist and facility to recommend, dates, and travel.
• Works with other departments and external parties to ensure timely admission of clients.
• Documents daily all activities, contacts, appointments, and events in the CRM system.
• Maintains all documentation involved with the admissions process.
• Verifies insurance benefits for all clients on private insurance admissions.
• Screens calls from referrals and sets up transportation for admission.
• Maintains a waiting list for admissions and stays in contact with potential candidates.
