Job summary

The Farley Center in Williamsburg, VA, is hiring an Admissions / Intake Coordinator for a 12 pm–8:30 pm shift with rotating on-call evenings and weekends. You will manage pre-admission assessments, intake interviews, and insurance verifications, ensuring timely admissions and quality client service.

The role includes on-site work, tuition assistance, medical/dental/vision benefits after 30 days, and a daily pay option.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and strong interviewing and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews client, family members, and collateral sources to assure intake criteria are met.
• Reviews prospective admissions against criteria and policies.
• Documents all activities in the CRM system daily.
• Coordinates with insurance companies to verify benefits for admissions.
• Screens referrals and arranges transportation for admission.
