New Season is seeking a Patient Registration Coordinator I to greet, register, and schedule patients in a healthcare setting. The role handles insurance verification, patient payments, and grant-related tasks to support patient access and facility revenue integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Insurance Verification experience is required.
• Healthcare office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and validate insurance coverage and benefit details for new patients to ensure payer requirements compliance.
• Perform weekly and annual eligibility checks to verify active coverage status.
• Communicate patient financial obligations (deductibles, co-insurance, copay, and out-of-pocket costs).
• Process patient payments in systems and update overdue balances to manage patient responsibilities.
• Act as the primary contact to facilitate communication with patients regarding benefits and responsibilities.
• Assist patients with grant applications and enter patient information in grant portals as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and arrange transportation for insured or grant-supported travel needs.
• Review daily and monthly reports to identify and correct missing or incorrect system information to reduce errors.
• Ensure submission of clean claims and reduce payer denials by following policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects using Excel/Google Sheets and communicate results.
• Protect PHI in accordance with HIPAA standards.
