The role requires building and maintaining agency relationships, negotiating appointments, and monitoring market trends. The position emphasizes travel (roughly 60%) and strong sales leadership within a growing segment of Berkley's coverage suite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years insurance marketing experience.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
• Strong negotiation, sales and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient with computer systems and multi-faceted platforms.
• Ability to travel in assigned territory (60%).

Responsibilities

• Grow private company management liability lines in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with AVP to establish sales culture and drive growth.
• Build strong agent relationships to enable planning, production and growth.
• Manage distribution and negotiate agency appointment agreements.
• Monitor competitors and industry developments.
• Influence regional structure to leverage team strengths.
• Partner with leadership to implement underwriting and business strategies.
