Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to be the face of the clinic and handle insurance verification, billing and patient financial counseling. You’ll verify coverage before services, explain costs to patients, and resolve billing discrepancies while ensuring high patient satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have experience with medical billing software and EMR systems, plus a high school diploma (MA or X-ray tech cert a plus).

Qualifications

• Experience with insurance verification and medical billing is required.
• Ability to explain insurance concepts to patients with empathy and clarity.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in insurance IDs and billing information.
